7 Steps to Stop Playing the Villain

Stop playing the Villain in your OWN life! Follow these 7 steps to turn your life around and be the HERO instead.

1. AWARENESS – Be aware of your actions. Unwanted behaviors come as natural to us as brushing our teeth. We do things without thinking to self-sabotage. Be aware of your behavior and self-talk. Be brutally honest with yourself. Catch yourself and shift your thoughts.

2. REALIZE – Realize you control the outcome. This is your life and you make it what YOU want. If you don’t like certain things in your life, you can change it. Separate yourself from your toxic thoughts...you know that little voice that lies to you! You KNOW the truth, so let that nonsense go.

3. BREAKUP – Breakup with your bad habits. You know the habits I am referring to. The negative self-talk, the negative thoughts, the negative actions... the NEGATIVE!! Get rid of it!! Doing this will make a HUGE difference. Replace your bad habits of negativity with good habits and practice positivity daily.

4. AFFIRMATIONS – Your words have power. Every word you speak produces an effect in yourself and in others. Are you creating something positive or negative; something that will advance you in the direction of your dreams? Happy, successful people speak words of encouragement as opposed to words of criticism and rejection. Your life is your mirror. Speak kind words to yourself. Encourage yourself.

5. CERTAINTY – Have certainty in all you do! Stop second guessing yourself. Be confident. We have all done things that you wish we hadn’t done. We have said things we wished we hadn’t have said. But, life has ups and downs, ins and outs, light and dark. It shapes us into who we are today. Your willingness to live through the mess of the past and hold your head up high is how you will win in life. Keep focusing on the future and be brave!

6. DECIDE – Decide to change. Enough is enough and it is time to break the cycle. Stop standing in the way of your own success simply because you are scared to change. Love yourself enough to make the changes necessary to elevate your life. Wanting things in life but finding ways to self-sabotage can be devastating. It’s a vicious cycle that you must decide to break now.

7. PROGRESSION – Practice making progress daily. Don’t try to be perfect. Perfection leaves us feeling miserable, insufficient, and inferior. When we fall short of our own expectations, we feel unworthy and incapable. Instead, take imperfect action daily and realize you are making a positive progression, little by little.

Today is the day you begin to love yourself more than anything else in this world. When you transform the relationship, you have with yourself, everything else falls into place.
